6GIC-CLICK Featuring Non-Terrestrial Networks - Towards 6G

  • Institute for Communication Systems (ICS) Stag Hill Guildford, England, GU2 7XH United Kingdom (map)

Join this exciting event at the Institute for Communication Systems (ICS) at the University of Surrey in Guildford, for the sixth edition of the 6GIC SeLected Advanced TopICs WorKshop Series (6GIC-CLICK)

This workshop will bring together world leading experts and enthusiasts from the field of Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTN), to discuss the latest advancements and innovations. The 5G advanced era will herald large constellations of LEO satellites with on board processing including network functions previously only terrestrial located but now offering direct phone to phone connections without the need for terrestrial infrastructure. As we now move into the period of defining a completely new and unified 6G system, NTN will play a key role in proving coverage and resilience via an interconnected 3D space network converged with terrestrial networks.

The Space South Central region has a unique span of expertise and capability across both satellite communications and terrestrial 5G/6G technologies. This workshop will be an opportunity to engage with individuals currently shaping and developing this rapidly evolving field.
